USBG - If you are a bartender, bar back or cocktail server (or spouse or child of) who needs financial support, you can apply to the USBG National Charitable Foundation’s Bartender Emergency Assistance Program. USBG membership is not required to receive funds.
Southern Smoke Foundation - A non profit founded in 2015 committed to supporting the food and beverage community. If you are employed by, own, or are a supplier to a restaurant or bar, you may qualify for charitable assistance. Focused on the uninsured the application requires: a statement of need, employment history, paystubs, current lease/mortgage, and utility bills.
MusiCares - A charitable organization operated by the Recording Academy, accepts applications for grants up to $1,000 to aid music industry professionals with living expenses. Texas-based applicants use the South or West region application.
Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM) Announced a temporary expansion of services beyond affordable healthcare for local musicians. Focusing on the immediate needs of their membership will include “rent, groceries and medical assistance, among others.”
Artist Emergency Relief Fund - Grants up to $500 are available to replace lost income due to the coronavirus pandemic, for those in the greater Austin area, with applications reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Crocs - Crocs is offering a free pair of shoes for healthcare workers. Click on the link to put in your request.
WorkForce Solutions - 512.485.3792 Assistance via phone is available also. 3 locations are open by appointment only for job seeking services, lay offs, and unemployment benefits.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) - The purpose of TANF is to provide financial and medical assistance to needy dependent children and the families with whom they are living. TANF uses state funds to provide cash assistance to families. For assistance you can call the program contact at 1-877-541-7905.
211 - If you need assistance finding food, paying housing bills, or other essential services, use the search bar to find your local 211 or dial 211 to speak to someone who can help.
Aunt Bertha - A website that matches qualified individuals with food, housing, transit, health/medical, education and legal help.
Central Texas Food Bank - Visit this website to find the nearest source of nutritious food. This is also a resource that can help families apply for SNAP, Medicaid, and CHIP. For information on Mobile Pantry resources schedule changes and updates call 512-684-2559. Currently it says that Fresh Food for Families will be offered at the West Carrie Manor Community Center Sunday, April 6 at 9am. This is subject to change.
Manor Community Center - 512.854.1550. The Travis County Community Centers will continue to provide services, but they are no longer accepting in-person applications. If you are in need of help please call and center staff will address your needs over the phone.
Austin - List of resources
Help-at-Home-Kits - Vegetables, canned goods, and other staples only for Capital Metro’s MetroAccess clients. These items are available on a first-requested, first-served basis to those who qualify.
H-E-B and Favor Senior Support Line- Partnership between H-E-B and Favor food delivery, serving customers 60 years and older. There is a delivery fee of $10 and orders are limited to 25 items or fewer. Deliveries may be subject to delays.
Brother’s Produce- Garland-based produce company temporarily offering drive-thru service in Austin. You pay $20 for a 10 pound box of mixed produce. They also kitchen staples available. To order call 512-928-0050 or email.

Autism Response Team - For one-on-one help and guidance please contact the Autism Speaks, Autism Response Team, at 888-AUTISM2 (888-288-4762) or email. Team members are specially trained to provide personalized information and resources to people with autism and their families. Housing
Resources for renters - This information contains a referral list of potential resources for those experiencing housing-related issues. Please note that the volume of requests related to the Covid-19 virus may slow response times.
Caritas - Works to end homelessness in the greater Austin area. Provide support with housing, food, education, unemployment, and veteran’s assistance.
Foundation Communities - The Children’s Home Initiative (CHI) is a 24 month case management program that connects families with housing and services at a variety of Foundation Community properties. Families must have at least part term employment and be willing to work towards increasing income and to participate in services. CHI is still accepting applications. To apply email
FC food pantries continue to be open to residents at their normal times, with modified procedures.
Neighborhood Housing and Community Development - The NHCD offers information and referrals to assist impacted community members with immediate housing needs including resources for homeowners and renters, including information on avoiding mortgage foreclosures and assistance for paying rent.
