The Full Story
About
APS began its mission of service in 2004. Through the creation of a national forum, APS learned that the most effective way to bring about a definite change in the community is to empower our future generations through education. Since then, APS has functioned as a non-profit organization, dedicated to specifically target and aid underrepresented students towards their pursuit of higher education. APS sets itself apart from other organizations by installing in students a sense of commitment and responsibility to give back to their communities. APS has accomplished this through regional conferences, community programs and events.
Locally, the APS San Antonio Chapter was established in the year 2017 and services the city of San Antonio, Kirby, Uvalde and Corpus Christi.
Mission
The Association of Professionals and Students (APS) promotes higher education to disadvantaged students with the help of professionals who volunteer their expertise in their respective fields to the community. We strongly believe in empowering the next generation of leaders with the knowledge required to attend institutions of higher learning; while installing the social values of service, justice, and fidelity.
